The Kid plays hurt

This is my Nephew Michael with his arms up after scoring one of his two goals on December 24 for Stevens Point Area Senior High School, aka SPASH. One day earlier he flipped his truck over a few times after spinning out on some ice on the Interstate. He was damn lucky that he wasn't seriously "eff'ed" up... although he was a bit sore.

Now - I'd like to lay claim to teaching him everything about hockey, but I can not.

Asylum Street Spankers

Kay and I have seen this band at least 6 times. This video is pretty cool.

So - we are Grandparents

Our daughter Jess and husband Ben are proud parents. Grady James was born on December 14. In the above video, Grandma Kay is seen making young Grady cry, but only for a little while.

Metropolis Coffee - Denver

Spent a few days in Denver once again. Booked a room near Metropolis Coffee... and the espresso was great. It is the second best espresso that I have ever had in a shop, the best being Broadway Coffee in Kansas City, MO.

Of course, the best roaster in Denver is Copper Door Coffee, hands down.
